    Like all of you i had this problem. I wouldn’t do school speeches and failed all my oral presentations, I suffer anxiety and social phobias. I actually went to see a counselor who worked with me doing cognitive behavior thinking or CBT. This worked and I haven’t had a problem since. I even did some modeling on a bar in-front of many people. The therapy just taught me to re wire my brain and the way it thinks about certain situations. IT was like being hypnotized. You need a few sessions but…

    I am 33 years old and have had this problem all my life. One thing I stumbled upon about 6 years ago has really helped me ALOT! I take prescription Tramadol which is really a muscle relaxer which helps me with my blushing. It gives me a feeling of being more assertive. I also take it in combination with Zoloft and have a prescription for clonapin which is foe anxiety. The most important of the 3 pills to me is the tramadol which seems to help the most. I feel so bad for all of you who suffer from this problem which seems like a “curse”. I have not completely gotten over this problem but I have contained it to a degree that I can live a happy life. Don’t ever give up on yourselves. You are just as important as anybody else. Learn to love who you are and where you came from. Practice makes perfect, so be careful what you practice!     I have suffered with blushing for as long as I can remember. I’m at uni now and I find that if I meet new people, especially men, I just go bright red for no reason. People always comment which makes it so much worse, I’m really fair skinned as well so it’s really noticeable. One thing which does help slightly, is if you have to do a presentation and you know you will be anxious, wear green colored foundation under your make-up. It sounds crazy but it ‘cuts’ the red tones in your skin, and blushing isn’t as noticeable. I also wear yellow loose powder for the same reason. However, it does wear off after a while so it doesn’t work all day long. I know how you all feel :o :(
